The picture was taken at “Golconda fort” and happens to be my second visit here in past 3 months. This adorable kid was playing “round about” in an attempt to escape from his mom’s hold. I couldn’t help but literally stare at this cute kid playing all alone and was having fun. I wondered! What if I was taken back in time and got to be a kid again, with nothing to worry about and most importantly to stop wondering about the future. With no tensions in life, no setbacks!
All I have to worry about is which game to play, how to convince my parents to get me a new pencil box (Ah!! It was a thing back then to have a mighty pencil box to show off), how to steal a piece of chocolate from my sibling and most importantly! How to avoid computer class (Don’t know why I hated that class as a kid :-P)!!! Just a glimpse of these memories in my memory palace made me feel how life was so simple back then and if only I got it all back just by pressing a rewind button!!! Then suddenly, a reflection of my present reminded me that I would have missed all the fun I had growing up and most of all I wouldn’t have met my amazing and wonderful friends who stood by me at highs and lows. And what about those worst situations which taught me to be strong no matter what!!!
All these thoughts made me feel wonderful for what I had gone through and learned in the process of growing up which broke the memory lane of my thoughts and brought me back to blissful reality!!
These thoughts reminded me a quote of “Martin Luther King Jr.”
“If you can’t fly, then run,
If you can’t run, then walk,
If you can’t walk, then crawl,
But whatever you do,
You have to keep moving forward.”
After all Life is all about learning from your mistakes and trying to be a better person than you are right now… Isn’t it?
